Dear VSS Residents:

As the 2022 insurance renewal for VSS approaches in mid-November, we have received a majority of the proposed carrier renewal quotes. At this time the quotes are coming back with a higher percentage increase than originally anticipated.

At this time, the 2022 proposed budget has been amended to include a 28% increase in the insurance over the 2021 rate. A representative from Insurance Office of America will be attending the annual budget meeting to discuss the renewal and answer resident questions.

Please see the revised budget attached to this email and an updated letter from the Board below.

PLEASE NOTE: Item 7.a. is for the purposes of the Board reviewing and approving violations that will be heard at our next Compliance and Grievance Committee Meeting. Remember that the Compliance and Grievance Committee Meetings (Not Board Meetings) are for the purpose of the final approval of fines and to provide an opportunity for the Home Owner to provide any justification or remedy for the violation which will be taken into account in accordance with F.S. 718.303.

Over the past 9 years, the Village at Swinton Square has been under contract with Comcast/Xfinity to provide basic cable TV to the community. Our term is up in October 2022 so it is important that we collect as much feedback as possible to help drive the decision that we make in the coming months.

This bulk services agreement is included in our monthly dues so we are working hard to make an inclusive decision based off what a majority of the community would like to see. We are asking for your email and unit number to ensure we only record one response from each unit.
